Mumbai Indians vs Rajasthan Royals
Every year IPL approaches and I can’t refrain myself from posting about it here. This edition of high voltage cricketing drama seems more special to me, as 4 of the games are gonna be played in Ahmedabad and I intend to watch at least one of them if time permits.
In spite of their abysmal show in last two seasons, my support is intact for Mumbai Indians. For uninitiated, its solely because of none other than Master who is leading the team. I know our team has its lows but MI is all set to start afresh and rock. MI’s gonna start their campaign against mighty Royals headed by our very own magician Warne. Stage is set for mother of all battles as Warny has already tweeted about resuming 20 year old battle against his good friend!! Rajasthan Royals bowling attack looks to be seriously augmented by fastest bowler on earth, my personal favorite Shaun Tait. Tait has been amazing last summer, and more importantly he is in his fittest physical state.
For tomorrow’s game, MI’s 4 foreign players should be,
Pollard, Malinga, Bravo and JP Duminy.
Pollard adds immense value to the team as team always lacked a quality all rounder. We all have seen what Pollard is capable of in Champions League T20. Let’s hope he continues his blistering form in IPL as well.
Warnie has already showed his concern about Sach’s batting position. I guess he should stick to his tried and tested opening slot. He knows the best in any case, so whatever he will do, he will do the best. My proposed eleven for MI is,
Sachin, Bravo, Ajinkya Rahane, JP Duminy, Ambati Raidu, Aditya Tare (wk), Pollard, Abhishek Nayar, Harbhajan, Zaheer Khan, Malinga.
Yeah, team looks a little bit batters heavy, but this is the best combination I think of. We have 3 specialist bowlers i.e. ZK, Bhajji, Malinga. So, 8 overs will have to be shared between Bravo, Nair, Pollard. Bravo and Pollard are taken in the team as all rounders, so they have to be trusted for their bowling abilities as well.
With this combination, it seems MI’s gonna own RR. Bring ‘em on.
All the best. Duniya Hila Dege, Hum!!
Indians always rock!!!!
